    Original WWII Japanese Navy (IJN) Helmet Model 2 Size Large

    The HELMET:
    Original IJN WWII issue,
    Original battleship gray paint
    with
    red primer
    showing through. Size Large. Some computer-matched touch-up paint on sides. Badge and split-pins are repro. Original Model 2 IJN helmets are rather difficult to find.
    The LINER:
    Is stamped behind the liner pad Showa 14 to indicate manufacture in 1939. The liner has sweat stains and has wear around the bottom. The leather has the kanji for size “Large”

    punched into it. The chinstrap has been aged to appear faded, well worn, and stained. It is the correct length and width (some are too short), and is tied in the correct WWII IJN manner. You will be provided with a diagram for correct chinstrap tying. Liner and chin strap are repro.
    Once again, this is an
    ORIGINAL Japanese helmet
    that has been restored. To purchase an all-original helmet in this style, condition, and all original components would probably cost over 00.
