    This ad with WALTER JOHNSON was for THE ROYAL TAYLORS who had clothing stores in Chicago and New York. The ad was in the SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN SEPT 6. 1913. The ad is 10 1/2 x 15 1/2" and in good condition.The top part shows Johnson pitching in a game and titled ' "Washington Senator"  in his working clothes' and then on the other side" Walter Johnson The Royal Tailored Man " in suit with cane and hat. The ad says "Ball players as a class are among the best dressers in America". Walter Johnson is one of the major strikeout pitchers in baseball
